Eco-logic.

Really, I don’t know much about this topic. In Chile, the information about this topic is very fragmented and not distributed very well. I don’t know eco-organizations and I don’t support anyone. I know some cases of very small groups of people and extraordinariness cases of persons make ideas to recycling. Another of the cases are the cases of the people that works recycling like the cardboards collectors and the metal collector, how sells this materials to big factories for the recycling.
In my sector, the recycling politics are not practiced. This have many reason like the municipality don’t have policies of recycling to his promotion and the different organizations are not coordinated to make that possible. For me, one of the most efficient tools for the promotion of the recycling is the internet. Different organizations use internet to spread his ideas and ways to practice the recycling.
In my case one of the ways to cooperated to make a “most green world” is prefer the public locomotion and walk. I don’t really like the idea of have my own car and I not agreed with that. I like walk too. Is relaxing and very good for the health, most in winter.

About the beauty.

The discussion about the beauty is a large discussion thought the years. Philosophers like Aristotle’s and Platon think about the beauty. This was a one of the first conceptions about the beauty (and ugly) made and forms the base to the Aesthetics discipline. The Aesthetics is the discipline dedicate to discuss about the perceptions, and therefore about the beauty and the ugly. Many philosophers dedicated part of his work to the discussion. One of the most important is the conception of beauty of Kant. Immanuel Kant, a German philosopher of the XVIII Century in his book “Critique of judgment”: works about the conception of beauty "To discern whether something is beautiful or not, we refer the representation, not understanding the object in view of knowledge, but by the imagination (perhaps coupled with understanding) the subject and the feeling of pleasure or displeasure experienced by it." says Kant.
But ¿What is Beauty actually? The idea of Kant about this maybe helps us to make some answer, but not necessary is a complete answer. The idea of beauty changes with time, in the present this idea is determinate for the mass culture and the economics politics. One example for that is the publicity that takes and enforces the standards of beauty.

Degas on Chile

The last exhibition how I go was in September, made it in Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes. This exhibition was called “Degas escultor: Impresiones de la vida moderna” and was about the sculptures of the French artist. Edgar Degas was a French painter and sculptor of the XIX Century. Most of his paintings is centered in the vision of the ballet and dealing with everyday scenes. Belonged to the impressionist style, his works shows the saturation of the color and the matter, just like in his sculptures. The original sculptures was made with wax, but in this exhibition was made in bronze.
One of his most famous sculptures calls “Little Dancer of Fourteen Years,” and was presented in the exhibition. This sculpture shows a little girl in a dance position with her prom dress (made with real fabric). The most interesting of this sculpture is the way to represent the body, a way non-idealized, and whit common elements like the dress.
The horses are other topic worked by Degas. He was interested in represented horses, the anatomy and the movement, making a lot of sculptures about them.
Another section was “miscellaneous”. In this section shows different interest of the artist, like busts experiments, evereday scenes, etc…

The war experiencie in home.

Why I choose an article about a video game and not of art? Because I’m interested in the culture and not only the art, and the video game are products of culture and the culture is related of my career. But that is not the only reason why I choose this article. I’m interested too in the experience of the image product by the video game, in this case, the experience of war. Is a fact of the last times the video games made the experiences more realistic for many reasons, like the graphics, the gameplay, the storyline, etc. deceiving the eyes (and the last time also the body) of the player. Is very interesting how the video game produces a simulation of the reality and that is a political problem.
This article is about the video game Call of Duty (CoD): Modern Warfare 3 of X-Box 360. CoD is war saga of video games started on PlayStation 2 centered in to the World War II, but in this ocassion the topics is other: a sci-fi war against monsters and soviets.

Camelot

Hi! I’m in class and is summer, but doesn’t matters, I still thinking in the place I like to visit in the holydays. I’m very interested in the medieval culture and for that one of the countries I’m very interested to visit is England. Really, I’m interested specifically in the King’s Arthur literature, and for that I want to visit Camelot.
But Camelot no longer exists, and then I have to visit all the place was being indicated like the place. One of the most famous places indicated like the original Camelot is Cornwall, where are located the ruins of Tintangel Castle. The relation with King Arthur was made it by the Welsh historian Geoffrey of Monmouth in the XII Century in his book Historia Regum Britanniæ . This ruin has a cave, indicated like the Merlin’s cave. The Tintagel ruins is a very attractive place to visit on vacations.

Tattoos.

I’m really like the tattoos, but in the same time I’m very critical. Why critical? I think the tatoo like a problem of the last times in the postmodern culture. I know the tattoos have a long time tradition, ancestral in the case of some cultures, like the Maori or the Celts, but the assimilation of the tattoo by the capitalism culture doesn’t have the same idea. The principal idea of the tattoo in the capitalism is the fashion. The fashion tattoo lost the origin idea of this: The mysticism.
In some cultures the tattoo plays a roll very important, like in the war or rituals. Plays a role in the way of the life and is a manifestation of a superior power. Today, the tattoo is the manifestation of the singularitation and vanality of the body to make a difference with the other, which has a political problem. It is no coincidence that the current tattoo(the machine tattoo) was invented by the north americans.
Anyway, I think the tattoos look so good in some cases, especially in the girls…

Summer Semestre

Is strange for me have class in summer time. I never in my life have class in January and is very difficult. First, I hate the summer, I can’t stand the heat, I’m most adapted to a cold weather.

I’m tried to organize my time to make all my university works, read the books for the class, the job and my free time. Is not easy learning the class content in 3 months. Today I can’t no yet understand the decision to come back to class, since it has been the most unproductive semester in this four years.

In my case, I don’t have problems with Christmas and the new year party because I’m not a really interested in this parties, I’m very bored.
